Technical Writer
Now hiring a part-time Technical Writer in Bangor!Trillium Staffing is now seeking a part-time Technical Writer for a contract position in Bangor! This is an onsite contract position lasting 2 months but could be longer.
Schedule is Mon-Fri (20-30 hours per week).
Pay Range:
$25-$35/hr.

As a Technical Writer you will develop, write, and edit material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications.
Specific job duties are:
-Working with production and engineering monitoring Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Reviews manufacturer's and trade catalogs, drawings and other data relative to operation, maintenance, and service of equipment.
-Create and publish documents for kits, including scopes of work and safe work procedures.
-Organizes material and completes writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
-Edit, format and publish equipment related training material, incorporate trainer feedback to continuously improve quality and content of such material.
-Reviews published materials and recommends revisions or changes.
Maintains records and files of work and revisions following a file management protocol.
-Organize materials and complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
-Selects photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material.
Assists in laying out material for publication.

-Ability to produce Web-based books following specific guidelines using web application software.
-Ability to read engineering blueprints, and use a variety of computer software packages such as MS office, Adobe, and SolidWorks.
